Description
This is a logo for a clothing store that I came up with myself based on a previous retail business I had called Keeping You Posted (KYP). I wanted to do something playful by connecting the Y in Kay's and F in Fashion to have a 70's 80's retro look and feel.
Process
Kay's Fashion brand started as an reoccurring idea that I had from my previous clothing company, which was called "Keeping You Posted Clothing & Footwear"that I started in 2009. I ran this company for 5 years and it kinda faded away because of the effectiveness of the recession that started in 2008. I really never liked the logo that I had to brand the business. So I thought what if I was to rebrand my previous business, what that would be called and how would that look? My process began and ended with these few stages:

-
Critical thinking
-
20 + sketches
-
Critique
-
Refinements
-
Revisiting
-
Mock-ups/Hand made mock-ups

From the movie "Bad Boys 2" this is a typography book with the full script of the movie. The typeface being used through out the book is "DIN 2014". I wanted to create this book to reflect just what the genre of the movie is such as comedy, action and drama; all with type in a very bold and playful way. Only in four colors red, blue, black and white.
